From worldbuilding prose to an English epic.
A story needs a voice that can carry it. Specialists reshape pace and imagery while preserving the mythology and its chain of cause and effect.

Chinese narrative source
The goddess taught humanity the script of gods and the language of dragons. Magic brought strength—and the pride to challenge the gods.

The Gift and the Defiance
O gods, behold the world that bears your name,Its prayers grown faint, its towers crowned with flame.
When Oranth shaped the earth, humankind wokeTo lands unknown, beneath an unfamiliar sky. Before the storm they bent. Beneath the plagueThey fell, with neither strength nor spell to answer.
Shape the emotional arc
Suffering leads to the gift of magic; power breeds pride; pride becomes defiance. The stanza breaks move the story forward.
With magic, mortals stood against the wild. With power, pride took root within their hearts. The hymns grew faint. Their own names filled the silence. The gift endured. The giver was forgotten.
Give the narration a voice
“With magic / With power” creates a parallel beat. “Gift / giver” sharpens the turn toward ingratitude. Rhythm serves the story without forcing every line to rhyme.
And Serya, Goddess of Life, beheld their grief. She could not turn her face from mortal sorrow. The secrets of all magic she laid bare:The script of gods, the ancient tongue of dragons,Each sign a key, each word a door unsealed. They named her then the generous Giver of Fire.
Stay true to the worldbuilding
Divine script, dragon speech, the Fire-Giver and arcane ships remain traceable to the source. Names follow the project glossary; the outcome of the challenge stays unresolved.
Expert judgment: deciding how to write—and what must stay intact.
From reference notes to a catch worth remembering.
For a casual fishing game, writers draw on the target fish’s appearance and game brief to create a memorable image and a sense of achievement.
This is an example of writing new copy from reference material and a creative brief. The Chinese text describes a golden grass carp; the English brief calls for a spotted gar.
English copy subject · spotted gar
English copy for players
Meet Ebony, a spotted gar with the sheen of a moonless midnight. Light catches its scales; a moment later, the dark silhouette slips from view.
Some catches make a good story. This one becomes the story. Bring Ebony to the surface, and you’ll have a fish worth showing off—and a tale worth telling long after the tackle is packed away.

Make the fish vivid
Build a coherent image around its dark sheen and silhouette instead of switching between sports cars, stars and diamonds.
Find the story in the catch
Shift the focus from nutritional facts to collecting fish, showing off a catch, and telling fishing stories. Descriptions of behavior, rarity, and difficulty still need to match the game data.
Speak in the game’s voice
Use short, friendly lines and vivid imagery that suit a casual game.
Expert judgment: choosing information that fits the asset, the game and the audience.
Give the translation a bard’s voice.
Adapting these English lyrics into Chinese calls for fresh rhythm, imagery, and wit. The song needs to capture both the bustle of the market and the danger beneath it.
